He aims for two-in-a-row and another $4,000 prize, battling against a similar field of nearly two dozen drivers. The race also serves as the second round of the local NASCAR Berco Redwood Pro Late Model track championship with expected series contenders such as Madera’s Joey Kennealy, Loomis’ Kenna Mitchell, Lincoln’s Kylie Glick, and many more.

MMI Legends Tour West rounds out the traveling series competing on Saturday night. Tracy’s Brenden Ruzbarsky is one of the winningest INEX Legends drivers in the country and won the season opener. Drivers from all over the Western United States compete in the identically prepared Legends with a 30-lap feature for $1,000 to win on tap.

Dixon’s Tim Walters soared to his first career NAPA Auto Parts Super Stocks victory in the opening night 30-lap feature. Former All American Speedway Berco Modifieds champion Tyler Wentworth fended off Sacramento’s Kris Price to win round one, with another 30-lap event scheduled this weekend. The popular four-cylinder powered F4s came out of the gates swinging with 15 entries and Rocklin’s John Sproule claiming round one.

Clovis’ Skyler Schoppe won the Jr. Late Model Series opener in his debut appearance in Roseville and faces off with the youngest stock car drivers in the west in a 25-lap kickoff to Saturday’s NASCAR Spring Smash.

Saturday’s races are followed by a hard-hitting Planet Auto Demolition Derby utilizing stock street going machines to put a cap on an exciting event At the Grounds in Roseville!
