DELTA SPEEDWAY’S LUCRATIVE TURKEY BOWL XXVII FEATURES MICRO AND MIDGET RACING THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (October 20, 2026) – Turkey Bowl XXVII races into Stockton’s Delta Speedway this Friday and Saturday nights with one of the busiest lineups of divisions and the largest purses ever offered at the annual dirt track event. In addition to the Micro Sprint action for the Super 600, Non-Wing, A-Class, Restricted, and Jr. Sprints, the Bay Cities Racing Association full Midgets compete each night in the highly anticipated event as well. The drivers meeting is set for 4:30pm each night with hot laps to follow. Spectator gates open at 5pm. General Admission tickets are just $10 for adults nightly while juniors ages 6-12, seniors, and military are $5, and kids 5 & under are FREE! Pit passes are $35 nightly.

Fans who cannot attend the action in person can view flag-to-flag coverage on Fast Four Media, the speedway’s 2026 Pay-Per-View partner.

Micro Sprints compete in heat races on Friday night along with Knockout races. B-Mains and championship features are set for Saturday along with a mechanics race. Midgets run a complete program each night.

Super 600, Non-Wing, and A-Class each offer $3,000 to win with a 20-car field minimum. Restricted race for $1,000 to win and Jr. Sprints have a $500 Saturday purse up for grabs with a 15-car minimum. Micro Sprint entry fees are $140 but increase to $160 following the closure of early entry period on Wednesday.

BCRA Midgets race for an outstanding $1,250 to win Friday and $5,000 to win Saturday plus lap money.

The only known scheduled Midget races at Delta Speedway were during its inaugural season in 1986 but without readily available results. The mighty Midgets will compete on the 1/7th mile oval for lucrative prizes in the Hot Head Hundreds. Stockton’s Caden Sarale leads the series standings followed by 2026 Western Midget Racing champion Logan Mitchell of Santa Cruz in second with San Jose’s Nicholas Leonard, Jr. in third.

Race winners this year through ten rounds of BCRA action have included Preston Norbury, Connor Speir, Jake Andreotti, Broedy Graham, and Tanner Carrick – all with experience in Micro Sprints or Lightning Sprints early in their careers. Friday’s feature will be a 25-lap contest while Saturday will be a 50-lap finale.

2025 and 2026 Super 600 and Non-Wing track champion Nikko Panella of Stockton was locked out of victory lane during last year’s Turkey Bowl XXVI. Panella will be hungry to chase the lucrative prizes this season, looking to add to his three career Turkey Bowl triumphs. Stockton’s Caden Sarale leads drivers with six Turkey Bowl victories but has not scored since the 2022 edition of the race.

Delta Speedway’s 2026 champions Panella in Super and Non-Wing, TK O’Brien, Maya Maulin in Restricted, and Lucas Fenn in Jr. Sprints will take on drivers from all over the west coast this weekend.
