The Northwest has a perfect record of five-for-five in the California Dream 100 with Thomas Stanford, Terry Armstrong, Brian Boman, Drew Crenshaw, and Spokane, Washington’s Andy Brown claiming victories. Crenshaw is the only prior winner pre-entered for the action, ripping the doors wide open for a fresh winner of the $3,000 grand prize.
Nearly 20 California drivers will take on the challenge. Pre-entries include Manteca’s Josh Cross who has competed in all six editions of the Dream while ser5aching for a victory. Ocean Speedway is represented by 2024 champion Kenny Stragalinos of Boulder Creek and Tony Gullo of Watsonville. 2025 All American Speedway points leader John Sproule and third in points Barret Sugden are entered as well. Sugden notably finished third in the 2022 edition of the California Dream 100. Rick and Kevin Thompson will represent home turf as they defend Madera Speedway for the large field of four-cylinder racers from across the west coast.
The out of state entry list is deep with eight different states represented in the field. Washington – the winningest state in the event – will be represented by just two drivers with Colton Schultz and Jimmy Absher joining the action. Jason Hollingsworth is the lone Nevada entrant with his Ford Mustang. The event’s long tow is likely Shawn Grabinger, traveling from Lakeville, Minnesota with a Honda Prelude. Idaho racers have been some of the most competitive in the event, led by the efforts of Fred Vigil, Troy Palmer, Tyler Palmer, Mike Anderson, and Trevor Anderson. Two Oregon entries are competing as well.
Not only will the drivers race for $3,000 to win the feature, but there will also be numerous cash and bonus prizes offered by the event sponsors. Qualifying and a pair of duel races will set the feature lineup for the 100-lap main event. The event includes a break at lap 50 for adjustments and RACER Network interviews.
The Mission Silver & Gold Modified Series makes their third and final Madera stop for the 2025 inaugural season. Sam Jacks of Las Vegas has been a strong force throughout the season, winning the season opener at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway before adding a win and a second place finish at the Madera rounds so far. His brother Kyle overcame a mechanical failure in round two to earn his second podium of the series in round three in July.
Utah’s Jeff Longman won a thrilling battle in July for his first career Modified win at Madera Speedway. Windsor’s Sammy Nuno and Camino’s Brian Collins each have back-to-back top-five finishes as well in the series. The Modifieds compete in a non-stop 75-lap feature on Saturday night.
Joseph Holiday leads the Pro Sportsman battle by just 13 markers heading into Saturday’s 30-lap feature. Steve Schermerhorn ranks second in the standings followed by Brian Taylor, Kaden Toland, and Joseph Reicmuth.
The Mini Super Toyotas return to Madera Speedway this weekend after a pause this season. A Madera Speedway original division, the Toyotas will race in a 20-lap feature. INEX Bandoleros continue their battles with a 10-lap feature on tap as well.
Saturday pit gates open at 12pm with the drivers meeting at 1pm. Practice begins at 1:30pm. Qualifying hits the track at 3:00pm followed by heat races. Opening ceremonies are at approx. 5:30pm with all main events to follow.
