ETHAN NASCIMENTO TAKES FIRST LEGENDS TOUR WIN OF 2022 AT STOCKTON

STOCKTON, Calif. (August 14, 2022) – Ethan Nascimento of Manteca led all 35-laps for his first 2022 victory in the Legends Tour Series on Saturday night at Stockton 99 Speedway. Nascimento’s win makes him the sixth different winner in seven events this season and paid $1,000 courtesy of Cen Cal Glass. Several drivers also earned bonus cash from Brash Media as well.

The teenage driver has experienced success across the country in Legends cars and picked up a pair of Jr. Late Model wins at Madera this summer as well.

Nascimento started on the outside pole position for the feature on the historic quarter-mile oval after a four-car invert. He immediately drove into the lead but faced repeated challenges. Fast-time qualifier Robert Czub of Rocklin and Sebastopol’s Cody Winchel drove the Dave Winchel-prepared entries in lockstep with Nascimento throughout the contest. A caution for a solo spin on lap 25 kept the leaders tightly wound to the finish.

Nascimento scored a .359 second victory over Czub, Winchel, pole sitter Zach Sansom, and Josh Fleming of Escalon. Tyler Batzianis was credited with the first heat race win. Semi-Pro points leader Kayci Phillips of Stockton won the second heat race before Winchel topped Czub in the third heat race of the night. 20 INEX Legends were in action with 18 taking the green flag. Brian Park and William Cummings did not start the feature.

Legends Tour Series is presented by: Cen Cal Glass, Kleen Blast, Beeler Industries, All Pro Powder Coating, All Pro Pest Services. Legends Tour Series can be found on Facebook.
