ROUND SEVEN OF THE 2026 MADERA SPEEDWAY LATE MODEL SEASONS THIS SATURDAY NIGHT
MADERA, CALIFORNIA (September 16, 2026) – The penultimate rounds of the 2026 Mission Pro Late Model Series and 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model Series tackle the fastest one-third mile in the west on Saturday night, when Madera Speedway thunders back to RACER Network-televised racing action. Adult tickets are just $20, seniors and military are $15, youth ages 6-12 are $10 and kids five and under are free. All tickets will be sold at the track ticket booth. Opening ceremonies are slated for 6:30pm
Race fans can “Join” www.YouTube.com/ShortTrackTV for $19.99 per month for a members-only live stream as well. The races will be televised at a later date on RACER Network.
A growing pack of drivers will be competing in the Mission Pro Late Model Series, using round seven as the tune-up for both the Madera 150 for the ARCA Menards Series West on September 26 and the upcoming $15,000 to win Short Track Shootout on October 10. Big trophy season kicks off with at least three Madera 150 drivers joining the Pro Late Model action this Saturday. Alaska’s Wyatt Flowers, Nevada’s Gavin Ray, and 2026 All American Speedway Limited Late Model champion Kenna Mitchell of Loomis, Calif. insert themselves into the exciting racing with a 70-lap feature on tap.
Teammates Jason Aguirre and Shaun Reynolds are separated by just eight points in the standings. Opening Night winner Mike Hensley is still in the hunt from 20 points out of the lead. Rick Thompson of Fresno is fourth in the standings followed by Rev. Ron Spencer Classic winner Matt Erickson in fifth. Kellen Keller is the most recent series winner following the race on August 22.
Georgia’s Lane Christensen has led the 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model Series standings from the beginning after taking his maiden victory in round one. Christensen has accumulated a 33 point cushion over Illinois Keatin Lyons. Fresh off his breakthrough win on August 22, Redwood Valley, Calif.’s Jarrett Dickson is just six points behind Lyons in third. Washington’s Hunter Gates has preserved fourth in the standings. A pair of second place finishes have boosted Wyatt Flowers to within two markers of Gates, however, in their battle.
Japanese driver Eiki Koga returns to Madera Speedway following his 11th birthday. Georgia’s Dylan Bongiovanni aims to improve upon a third place finish in his debut on August 22, running both the Pro and Jr. Late Model races this weekend. Texan Dylan Reese also returns for Team Erickson Racing.
The 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model Series races in a 70-lap feature with a 40-lap opening segment, a break for adjustments and TV interviews, and a 30-lap race to the finish.
The INEX Legends compete in a 30-lap feature on Saturday night with Turlock’s Antonio Gonzales leading the way. Gonzales recently closed out a third place in the All American Speedway INEX Legends standings as well in a busy season. Recent CARS Tour West winner Jared Torres is entered to challenge Gonzales along with a fleet of central valley competitors competing.
Saturday pit gates open at 2pm with the drivers meeting at 3:30pm. Grandstands open at 4pm when practice begins. Qualifying hits the track at 5:45pm followed by heat races. Opening Ceremonies are at 6:30pm.
