2025 SHASTA SPEEDWAY SEASON COMMENCES ON MAY 3

ANDERSON, Calif. (April 25, 2025) – The highly-anticipated 2025 season at Shasta Speedway fires off on Saturday night May 3 with a full field of drivers ready to chase the checkered flag in five divisions of racing. The Speed Tour Super Modifieds join the Super Late Models, INEX NorCal Legends Series, Bombers, and Hornets in a busy night of action at the Shasta District Fairgrounds in Anderson, Calif. Tickets for the season opener are just $15 for adults with kids 12 and under admitted for free. Tickets available at the gates at 4pm or online at www.ShastaSpeedway.com Racing begins at 6pm.

The Super Late Models kick off their five race championship series of 125-lap races, with over $125,000 in posted awards. A varied list of competitors from across the west have expressed their desire to compete in the competitive races. Expected entrants include the 2023 Shasta 125 winner Dane Nissen, 2024 Shasta Speedway champion Ian Elliott, 2024 Shasta Speedway INEX Legends champion Derek Copeland, 2024 Stockton 99 Speedway champion Joey Stearns, 2024 race winners Douglas Atkins and Brandon Williams, 2022 Shasta 125 winner David Miller, long-time veteran driver Eric Gannon, and many more.

Speed Tour Super Modifieds return to kick off their 2025 tour with the high horsepower, open-wheel, winged machines. Arizona’s Nathan Byrd won the return of Super Modifieds to Shasta last July over a 13-car field from all over the western United States. Drivers and teams from most western states including Washington, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and California compete in the high-speed series.

The NorCal Legends Series is expected to bring the largest number of race cars to the speedway’s season opener, also serving as the first INEX Legends track points race in 2025. Cole Brown and Chase Burgeson claimed the victories in the season opener at Stockton 99 Speedway in March which attracted over two dozen cars competing.

Bombers and Hornets also launch their local championship battles on Saturday night. Danielle Adams is the defending Hornets champion while Scott MacLeod won the Bomber championship in 2024.

Activities begin Friday with optional practice. Pit gates open at 9am with cars on track for rotating practice from 12pm to 6:10pm On Saturday, pit gates swing open at 8am with practice at 11am. Grandstand gates open at 4pm with racing at 6pm
