BOERTJE BROTHERS SHINE DURING DELTA SPEEDWAY ROUND TWO IN STOCKTON

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (April 19, 2026) – A new duo added to the deep tradition of siblings enjoying success at Delta Speedway in Stockton on Saturday as both Wade and Miles Boertje of parked it in victory lane during the second round of Micro Sprint action at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds. The Visalia-based Boertje Brothers were two of the five winners on the 1/7th mile and both enjoyed their first career Delta triumphs as well. Photo by Bob Messer

Notable siblings with championships and wins at Delta Speedway include the Panella family and the Stepps family, including most recently the Stepps siblings both winning championships in 2024.

Both the Restricted and A-Class competition each had 21 entries in the pits. For the quickly growing A-Class action, Dash Duinkerken led time trials with a quick 9.788 second zip around the track. Lucas Mauldin, opening night winner Levi Osborne, and Cole Frerichs topped the heat races.

Wade Boertje started on the pole position in the No. 51B machine and never relinquished it over 25-laps of competition while fellow front row starter TK O’Brien finished second. Kyle Fernandez, Osborne, and Duinkerken were the balance of the top-five.

Connor Penix led the 21 Restricted cars in qualifying while Maya Mauldin, Bryson Sozinho, and Miles Boertje won the heat races. Miles Boertje started on the outside pole next to opening winner Haven Sherman. Sherman won the opening tussle for the lead but the leaders quickly approached lapped traffic. Boertje took advantage, driving to her inside to lead lap eight. Boertje dominated the rest of the 25-lap feature followed by Penix, Mauldin, Sherman, and Samantha Dozier in fifth.

Jeffrey Pahule returned to Delta Speedway and scored the 30-lap Non-Wing feature from the pole, topping a great 22 car field in the pits. Opening night winner Colton Key led qualifying. Pahule, Ty Carlson, and Jarrett Heimlich were the heat race victors.

Pahule led Brody Rubio, Eric Botelho, O’Brien, and Key at the finish.

2025 Super 600 champion Nikko Panella resumed his winning ways in the 25-lap affair, also won from the pole position. Jake Smith topped qualifying while Isabel Barnes won the heat race. Panella was followed by Raio Salmon at the checkered flag. Smith finished third followed by Andrew Smith – no relation – in fourth. Logan Trevino was fifth.

2025’s standout Jr. Sprint racer Lee Uzzell visited Delta Speedway and scored the victory in the 15-lap feature. Round one victor Lucas Fenn ran second followed by Logan Fenn in third. Uzzell and Lucas Fenn won the heat races.

Delta Speedway resumes action on May 16th with all five championship Micro Sprint divisions competing.
